Artist's Statement
This is the second time after five years that I actually begin to paint again.
A fairly long period of time has flown through my life with many changes and evolution.
I wish to once again try my hand on the most difficult and filled-with-mishaps way of art.
In days past, I often consoled myself that I'll someday return to painting, at a certain time
in life, when I feel that my mind isn't too influenced by the surrounding daily changing life.
Following five years of working and thinking, I do feel that the best way is to dash at that difficulty,
instead of standing outside it and champion my cause by means of too many reasons.
These are my first works after a sufficient time of thinking that allows me to feel that I've come
a little bit more to maturity in the last moments of my being twenty-eight years of age. The future
still lies ahead, and all that I've been able to achieve up to the present time would simply be
insignificant, besides the unique truth that I've been working very seriously, being encouraged
by the fullest and greatest love I've giving to two most special men in my life. The first one is to
my father, and the remaining one is the man I've chosen myself to love, and bring this love along
with me throughout my life.
I've chosen the appellation "Love Dream" as the subject for my exhibition. Five years ago, I also
had "A Dream" and at that time I shared that dream with a close friend of mine, artist Ly Hoang Ly.
This time my exhibition is a solo one, and all my works are showy and gaudy love dreams. People
often laugh, when love turns too showy. In the past I also had laughed at things that are too showy,
but right at this very moment, when I don't have any love beside me, I then allow myself to dream
about love with my going to the very end of emotion Things that are happening to me are all real
ones and you'll read the lines of the work's diary under the paintings displayed in this exhibition.
I only wish to tell you: "there exists such a love!"
