Nguyen Kim Phuoung has participated in various exhibitions including
the Exhibition greeting the April 30th Historical Day at the Fine Arts Museum,
organized by the Ho Chi Minh city Fine Arts Association.
Nguyen Kim Phuoung presently lives and works in Ho Chi Minh city.
Artist's Statement
THROUGHOUT THE YEAR THAT HAVE GONE BY
The memories of youth relating to the days we lived in a mountainous
city in the North (Hoa Binh). With me, such memories are like a fairy dream.
Each painting in this exhibition seems like to have a memory. And I paint
my relatives, my friends and my dear children. I do wish that my present
exhibition, following my year of schooling, will constitute a small gift sent
to my parents in the far away other world, hoping that their souls will gladly
welcome it. I also wish to use this exhibition as a gift offered to my relatives,
my friends, and my teachers who had been and have been constantly at my
side to inspirit and encourage me, bringing me my passion for painting.
